Facepunch's August 2026 update, Power Trip, is the biggest change to how monuments relate to each other since the rail network. The headline: Power Plant is now restorable, and bringing it online feeds an island-wide electrical network that unlocks machinery, resources, events, and rewards across several connected monuments.

The headline changes

  • Restorable Power Plant. Players can repair and restart the plant, making it the hub of a map-wide grid — and the most contested it has been in years.
  • Player-maintained monuments. The update's theme: monuments players switch on and keep running, including the new Satellite Crash site and Dome pumping mechanics.
  • Bar games and social fixtures continue the "Common Ground" direction from July's update.

What it means for keycard runs

We re-verified our monument guides after the patch. The keycard circuits themselves — cards, fuse counts, reader order — survived the update (every guide on this site carries its own verification stamp). What changed is the traffic: Power Plant is now a destination all wipe long, not just a card stop.
