Water Treatment is the puzzle that teaches timer discipline. Everything is easy — until you dawdle between buildings and swipe a dead reader.

Before you go

Blue keycard, 1 electric fuse, ~25 rad protection. Know the line between the two puzzle buildings before you start the clock.

The route

  1. Center building, through the blast doors. Head into the main building via the large blast doors.
  2. Upstairs — fuse and timer. Place your fuse in the box on the upper floor and start the timer. From this second, you’re on the clock.
  3. Cross immediately. Exit and move straight to the second building — no looting on the way, the barrels will still be there afterward.
  4. Second floor — blue door. Climb to the second floor, swipe the blue card, and you’re in: 6 crates and the red keycard.

After the run

Farm the basin field on the way out — the barrel density here rivals road running. Your red card’s two swipes are best spent at Military Tunnels or Launch Site.

Water Treatment Plant — quick answers

What do I need for the Water Treatment puzzle?
A blue keycard, one electric fuse, and about 25 rad protection. No green card required.
What does the Water Treatment puzzle reward?
A red keycard plus 6 crates (wood and military) behind the blue door.
Why won't the Water Treatment blue door open?
The circuit is on a timer — if you took too long crossing from the fuse building, it lapsed. Go back, restart the timer, and take the direct line between buildings.
