Satellite Dish is the tutorial monument of the keycard chain — a ring of rusted dish arrays with no radiation, no scientists, and a puzzle simple enough to run naked with a fuse in your pocket.
Why you’re here
One reason: the blue keycard in the green puzzle room. Satellite Dish (along with Sewer Branch) is the fastest, safest way to move from “found a green card on a desk” to “holding a blue card” — the first real step toward Rust’s end-game monuments.
The layout
The monument is a fenced compound of several large dish arrays with a couple of service buildings at ground level. The puzzle lives in the buildings at the back: a fuse box and switch in one, the green card reader on its neighbor. Climbing the dish scaffolding gets you barrels and a lookout position, but the ground-floor circuit is the money.
Ready to run it? The full route is in the Satellite Dish puzzle guide, drawn as a circuit with every switch in order.
Loot worth the trip
- Blue keycard in the puzzle loot room
- 2 crates behind the green door
- Barrels and basic crates around the dish field
